you have got to teach me how to make these sprite flashes.

1. is this frame by frame?
2. how long did it take to make?

Well, this is when I was kind of noobish at flash so I didn't know a lot of stuff.

As for the questions:
I didn't use/need any movie clips for the moves, so other than when I was tweening yes it was frame by frame.

How long it took is in the author comments =P
