I understand it is a short but you deserve a least 2.30 You should work on the length of your animations and the blood splash but otherwise not to bad.

Well, this is when I was kind of noobish at flash so I didn't know a lot of stuff.
As for the questions:
I didn't use/need any movie clips for the moves, so other than when I was tweening yes it was frame by frame.
